WEMADE Leads Global Alliance to Launch KRW Stablecoin Ecosystem
South Korean gaming and blockchain firm WEMADE has formed the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin (GAKS) with Chainalysis, SentBe, and CertiK. The partnership aims to strengthen StableNet, WEMADE’s blockchain mainnet dedicated to a Korean won-pegged stablecoin slated for 2026 launch.
The alliance combines Chainalysis’ compliance tools, CertiK’s security audits, and SentBe’s cross-border payment infrastructure to create a regulated framework for the stablecoin. This aligns with South Korea’s push to establish regional leadership in digital currency markets.
Singapore served as the launchpad for discussions on standardization and global adoption pathways. The initiative reflects growing institutional interest in stablecoins as bridges between traditional finance and blockchain ecosystems.
